Saw them last night......took my head off.
What a great line up. The rhythm section, absolutely cooked, the horn section, tight as a duck's behind (watertight), Craig Handy (sax) Conrad Herwig (tb) great soloing.
Gio pulled off some fantastic moves and all just about three feet away. I was impressed with his volume and tones.
Eddie Palmieri, was the Daddy and just let the kids play.
The main thing was how much fun they were having, and how much they listened to each other.
Lost for words. Thanks for the tip off Niall, were you there?

Hey Diceman,

Whoa, am I jealous! To see Giovanni blow is one thing, but to see him play with Eddie Palmieri may have been even more amazing. Their recordings together are some of my favorites.

Also love Craig Handy's playing and Herwig's too. Glad you got to see what must have been a "landmark" concert!
