lubrication

some of the tuning lugs on my toca custom delux fiberglass bongos are getting a bit stiff and sticky so i cant tune them up properly. what should i use to sort em out?

I use the same refined olive oil that I fry and cook with, works just fine.

Also the lubricant on the lugs gets dirty with time, so ocasionally you may want to unscrew the nuts all the way and clean up both the nuts and the lug thread.

I tend to dip my lugs and nuts in WD40. Of course, I wipe them up pretty good to avoid getting my pants all full of the "excess liquid". Once in a while I spray a little bit into them to keep them lubricated.

There is that "grease" that most manufacturers include but they are killers to your pants if you play bongos seated.
