I want to know something about PREMIER GRAND SERIES CONGAS. Is this a good instruments, what about skins? This model is made from american ash wood. Are they similar to LP Galaxy congas? Picture on website:

The hardware looks questionable. There are now 5 different brands / labels
selling the exact congas made in the same mega-plant in Thailand
by one company.

Those are tycoon drums made out of Thialand. They sell the drums to other US distributors. My advice would be go to www.x8drums.com The guy there is named mark you can call him and he will give you the history of tycoon drums and the distribution process. I have never played them but from what I hear, they are very good drums at an affordable price. It would be your best bet to buy straight from tycoon rather than a tycoon knock-off.
