this was the first set of the conguero series congas he built. he started the conguero series about a year ago, at that time i was in the market for some new congas.
i ended up buying the entire cubano series. ive had them for about a year and im still in love with them. all of my conguero buddies love the old skool sound on them. the quality is incredible. anyways enjoy.

Wow, stunning look, really beautiful!

It´s a pity I can´t get them in Germany :(

Congratulations, the conguero model looks like top of the line... Are the skins steer / cowhide?

woah nice picture OZ.
I am waiting for Michel to reply to my e-mail. Did you have a waiting time when you ordered?
Considering the Club Salsa or conguero models. Do you have current pictures of your setup?

Moperc uses cowhide (I wonder if its Canadian cow?) I have never seen such dark cowhide.

Alafia Abures!
I hope that you are all well and abundantly blessed!

Abure Tonio!
I can vouch for the Moperc skins, I've got them mounted on every drum I own (except my Islas), and every one who hears them and plays them, wants them! You will be more than happy with the sound and the texture of his skins! I usually place an order just to have some on hand!

Many blessings!

Onile,
Yes I've noticed your GB's had dark skns and mentioned that you reskinned them. Now that that's confirmed, time to try em out !!
I still have a few United cowhides left, but I want to try Michel's skins.

Good way to test the waters before the big purchase.

Saludo Hermanos
Tonio,
yes, i did have to wait about 3 months to get them.
the hide as far as i know is north american hide but, that could mean it may be only from canada. i dont think it really matters though. very little over ringing and the chops are very piercing.
i have some photos of my which i will post here shortly.
i tell everyone who considering buying high end congas, that if you have the money buy custom congas. huge difference in physical, and tonal quality.
the hardware looks and feels virtually undestructable plus its stainless steel which wont rust.
if you buy any moperc or any custom drum for that matter it will be lifetime investment because youll never have to buy any other drums for the rest of your life.
one thing, if you end up buying moperc. tell Michel to mount the heads high, he has a tendency to mount the skins too low and by the time the skin is broken in, it looks like it has been pulled too much. i know that is something that many congueros including myself dont like

mike
the acutal high end drums for moperc are the cubano series.

ill post some pics soon.
