Abusive CongaBoard Administrator

Dear CongaBoard Administrator,

Please unsubscribe me ASAP.

I can't stay in a forum populated by some (not all) narrow-minded, intolerant pseudo artists, but more so if these pseudo-artists is an administrator himself who is not only sexist but also insulting.

Please see the last 2 posts on the topic "SF Drumming Scene" where Abakua shamefully makes a sexist comment. Thereafter, he has the gall to have the last say by showing picture of a Kleenex box meant to insult my last post which is a rebuttal to his sexist comment.

Abakua should be ashamed of himself for abusing his administrator privileges.!

If this is the kind of administrator this forum has, then it doesn't deserve genuine respect from decent, intelligent people.

Personally, his actions and the actions of some members of this forum are simply beneath my intelligence level. I can't stomach to continue being in this forum and it's plainly disgusting!

To my true friends in this forum, such as Charlie, Tonio, Jorge, David Penalosa and other whom I truly respect, please just email me directly at:

mjtuazon@pacbell.net

if you want to keep in touch.

I'd rather be with true artists who have the integrity and are not afraid to speak and hear the truth.

CongaBoard is not a place of where one can fully express himself/herself even if he/she doesn't use abusive language. Rather, censorship is the rule.

I challenge the administrator not to delete this post in an attempt to sweep his dirt under the rug. ???

Thank you for staying out of the discussions, or passing on the admin duties to someone who can be objective.

How can a discussion on SF drumming scene end up in abuse, censorship and all out war?

Hmmmmmmmmmm sound familiar

Gentleman Im sorry to see this going down and the forum becoming an area of "discontent"...I have been here going on 7 years and it has been worth the "ups" and "downs".....my suggestion would be for the future if one is up set with another or would like to carry on a subject of personal intrest please send them an email, and not have this forum brought into it...Nobody here is perfect in anyway....we do have our own personal politics and religious beliefs and that is all good.....but let's keep it to the drum....if u want to talk "politics and drums" do it with evidence, history, documentation and the same with religion, or maybe create another area of this forum for just that...so one can express himself in an "open and friendly" manner, as we have always tried to do here...... I do hope we can get by with some of the "discord" here, and keep this a vibrant and intelligent forum......"JC" Johnny Conga....Moderator

Johnny,
Is there a written list of rules for this forum? If so, I think the congaboard would benifit from the Moderators posting it. The Moderator for the Yahoo Latinjazz e-group has from to to time, posted that forum's guidelines when people started to stray off course. It was a gentle and effective reminder, promoting moderation, respect and maintaining proper focus (the MUSIC).

Hi David ...I do not have those rules...i believe they were posted when the site first went up....either the owner in Italy of course has them, and I also believe Abakua has them. I agree with you that maybe it's time they are put back up here for everyone to read and understand the protocol here...Thank you for your support in this matter...."JC" Johnny Conga....

TWO CENTS:

people have opinions, just like noses. let anyone voice an opinion and then move on. at the end of the day, todays issues are tomorrows garbage lining. just let it go and stick with the subject matter. i am sorry to see anyone leave this forum; for any reason. i certainly hope all may be able to be worked out in the long run.

Pavloconga,
Thanks for pointing that out. I usually don’t read those things very thoroughly and just click on “Agree”. That’ll teach me. :)

I appreciate the fact that this board is NOT heavily censored! Abakua totally rocks,, but he is human and does have opinions.. I also very much appreciate that as well.
I'm on another board that IS heavily censored, and it's like being in handcuffs all the time.
This board is awesome, and it's too bad the kid blew a gasket.
Oh well.

I'll add my support for Abakua.

I've observed posts can be dressed up with smiley faces and use words like 'respectfully', but actually be intolerant and abusive towards others.

Personally, I'm intolerant to intolerance!

One other thing, I'll second Windhorse in that it is a good thing we are fairly free to speak on this forum. I'm for freedom of speech, and the freedom to tear signs down.

They can pass their stupid laws and I am free to choose not to follow them, they are free to try to catch me, and I'll be free until they do!
