we're trying to do the song quimbara (Celia cruz) in my band

i'm facing some problems concerning the clave
it starts with a 2-3 guaguanco ,but i feel the clave in 3-2

any help ??

I've heard a few different recordings of that tune. It very well might switch from the Verse to the Chorus. I believe a lot of modern Salsa actually does that. You might be hearing it right if you think it switches.

but the problem is that i hear a 2-3 guaguanco and in the same time the palito is playing 3-2

i heard 2 versions the same things

while the version of oscar d'leon is in 3-2 all the time

i'm confused
