On reading a trivia that actor/producer Andy Garcia owns 25 Congas, just wonder what the spread would be of how many our board members own.
Feel free to add comments explaining your collection

I just got my first set: 2 LP Originals, a conga and tumba.
I'm very new to this conguero thing. Give me a few years, I'm sure my number will jump up quite a bit from 2.

I own, a set of 3 Natural Classics w/mule, a set of 3 deep red Performer Series w/ mule, and an old set of 2 red Cosmic Percussion (nice drums really...old school hardwear, and the skins are surprisingly good). I also have a set of LP Jr. Congas that I rarely use. Now I need more time to play them!!

I have 2 Juniors Mahogany, 2 Gon Bops Mahogany, 1 Gon Bops Oak, 1 Valje Oak, 2 LP Patatos, 2 Cosmic Percussion ( older 28" models ), I LP Classic Tumba, 1 King Conga, 1 vintage Meinl Oak Tumba with striped pattern, and last but not least, 1 solid shell Conga that in my opinion is much superior than any other solid shell drum I have ever seen. I can send pics to anyone interested in seeing it. It has 7 tuning hooks and is a work of art.
p.s...I am looking for an oak Gon Bops Conga, or an oak Valje conga. I am in the SF Bay area. Thanks very much.

Do bomba drums count? If so, I currenly have:

(3) LP Giovanni ash: Tumba, conga, quinto
(3) So. American Conga Co bomba's: 14, 15, and 16-inch

And for laughs, a pair of LP Jr. conga's, but those don't really qualify as a conga. They're kind of their own type of thing.

Can't wait to be able to pick up some more (and better) stuff!

Okay, I'll bite!

I have four LP Patato Models; three Gon Bops California Models; three Isla Percussion Matanza Models; three Fat Congas; two (soon to be three) JCR Models; and still waiting for my four Ritmo Models from Matthew Smith.

I enjoy taking out a different set each gig, but since I got my Islas, I've been favoring them. Oh! BTW! I also have three Pearl Travel congas which I use on some of my Corporate gigs or when my back is out-of-whack!

Suave!

My first congas - which I still own - are a pair of very old, white fibreglass LPs which I picked up very cheap second hand (conga and tumba). Great crisp sounds, light weight.

Next were my old wooden Gon Bops, quinto, conga, tumba. Beautiful sound, especially the quinto, I have never come across another drum that sounds like this. Perfect for Cuban rumba.

A set of LP Aspires x 2 - good congas for rehearsals or if I have to leave congas in car temporarily (It wouldn't be devastating if I lost them).

3 x LP Palladiums, bought new (quinto, conga, tumba). Beautiful sounds, but heavy to lug around.

+ some non conga hand drums:
3 Kpanlogos drums (a conga like shape from Ghana)
1 beautiful Zimbabwean drum hand carved from a single log, with intricate designs burned into the shell. I play this with my congas set up - it has a deep sound, and can get crisp slaps from it too, quite unique.
1 Bucarabou bought in Ghana
1 djembe from Guinea (bought from teacher in Ghana)
3 Senegalese Tamas (talking drums)
1 Ghanaian talking drum

I keep them all because they're all good for different purposes, different sounds.

3 drums well they will be here next week (17th) as i track the shipment. An Isla percussions conga, tumba and requinto. I will need to add possibly a used beater set from what i have been experiencing lately with kids and adults banging on drums with sticks etc.
