Well the closest to that is Rebeca Mauleons "Caliente-Play along CD"...over an hour of just bass piano (congas/timbales/and bongosplayed by Orestes Vilato) plus "charts" to "follow along" to practice ur counting and and to read it as it's played....challange urself to learn Orestes parts on congas while playing along..become one with Orestes!.... :D Johnny Conga...

Tonio ......I was looking for whole songs or extended loops with cuban timba style piano. Not too fast . Something very syncopated and funky that you can dance to. MP3 or wave..............

No, there aren´t, I´m sorry to tell you - although I´m not JC I thought I felt up to giving you an answer :D
That the CALIENTE CD doesn´t have tracks without percussion is a pity indeed.
BTW I often write or arrange salsa tunes at the computer (I use Logic, Platinum version) for practising and educational purposes, so I play percussion (sometimes record the parts, sometimes not) while listening.
It´s a meek surrogate for playing with others live, I know, but to check out different things it works for me.

Just my humble 0.2$ :;):

Hola Tumbatimba,

Unfortunately I do not have any material in Timba in specific since Timba can be a mixture of different styles.
Also, I'm not sure if there is any Timba specific educational material other than Tomas Cruz DVD's, but they are for a "conguero" than piano.

Anyone have any information about Timba Piano educational material. I would be interested in that too.
