Z mi hermano, what's up.
Cual es tu Santo.

I am just repeating some of the things you have posted, and other members please correct me if I am wrong.
You have said that some of your post have been taken off, that you are under some intelligence surveillance, and now that they have stolen your video. ??? negativity happens for some reason. You say there are a hundred of videos out there, but non on youtube? Also go ahead rip at my member rating as if I cared, most members here know what I contribute here with.

Dr Z I think that for someone of your apparent status in the world of percussion it is strange that there is nothing out there as far as videos online to substantiate your claims. I say this respectfully, when a person speaks the way you do yet offers nothing in the way of a short educational video clip or a performance video clip, Your claims will be questioned. I am not alone in wanting to see something from you and if you did post a video and it was even somewhat impressive most of us would line up to apologize let alone if your performance was mind blowing. All it takes is a regular digital camera that does short video clips with sound. And most digital cameras will do that. Even cell phones do that now. By allowing us to see a short video you would do a lot towards validating your claims. I say this all in a respectful manner and not insulting in any way. Share something with us and perhaps some of us weekend warriors can learn something from you just like Abakua has shared and just like JC has shared. Men like that enrichen us with knowledge even if we cannot duplicate what they show at the same level it is still knowledge we can use in the future. Becoming more like these gentlemen would be beneficial to us all.

If there is so much interes set up a tour you could come here, to Houston,(as many people have done before), have a clinic with me, I could show the places where I have played, then you would learn something in my clinic and could shoot your video... and now you have a video with Dr. Zaragemca

Dr. Z with all due respect I prefer to do my camp/clinic with someone with a proven track record. Taking a flight to houston and planning to study with someone who cannot even post a video to showase their skills is a sight unseen purchase i will not risk. When i make a purchase i look at brochures research the internet. When i try to find info on you i find nothing but a bunch of postings on various forums.

JC, the historic redundancy is needed so when somebody is talking about Afrocuban Percussion and Music being able to correct a misconception or misinformation,(becouse many of my ancestors are dead),in relation to somebody knowing me right here in these forum is huerocongero which was one of my student and also played with me in the Santana Tribute Project.Dr. Zaragemca

Hello, brothers and sisters
I feel the time has come to post some of my direct observations about my drum master, and my friend, Gerardo “El Carillo” Zaragemca. I agree with “JC” on 2 major points:
A) let’s not get personal
B) the proof is in the pudding, let’s hear/see something

So I submit a few things:
First and foremost, Gerry is the most incredible musician I’ve ever been associated with, (although I am somewhat of an amatuer, please don’t blast me with “what are your credentials” I played drum kit for a bout 10 years, I’ve learned to play congas for about 6 years and I love to “play” around with various bells and I’m learning marimba and vibraphone; so before anyone ask, I am no expert)

I’ve seen/heard Gerry play drums, congas, timbales, djembe, bongo, bells and even bass guitar (heaven knows what else he can play) and not only is he quite proficient in all percussion, he is an excellent teacher.

So, to my friends on this board, let me propose this (since talk is cheap) I live in Dallas now, but I’m going to Houston to see my family for the holidays. I have a great video camera, and so, presuming Gerry is available, I’d love to get some footage of him in action. ..what do you say Gerry?
