hello everyone and happy new year! just purchased some new used tumbadoras on monday. lp classic millenium edition. purchased quinto and conga for $340. was this a good deal? also are these the same drums as the regular classics? i'm assuming they are, i wasn't able to find info on them. i'm not loving the skins or the color on them much but that can be fixed. any info and opinions are welcome thanks guys.

a couple of pictures. glorified classics, i'll end up sanding and staining them a natural wood color. what do you guys think should i peel the lp sticker off gently and put it back on or just off with them since they'll look like regular classics anyway?

Alex V...........That was a very good deal. Yes they are true Classics and they came out in the year 2000 to celebrate the Millenium. Too bad, I recenly sold a Tumba to match your set. It was like brand new and I sold it for 225 dollars. But that's ok, you have a real nice set of drums especially for the price you paid.

thebreeze, it's too bad i just missed out! i'll be on the lookout for a classic tumba soon. if i can't get a match it should be ok since i might refinish them sometime in the future when i get tired of the color. if anybody out there has the matching tumba available soon let me know. thanks.

Nice Tumbadora Alex , and a great price . They look good to go to me Bro . If you were thinking of removing the stikers , Id use a warm Hair drier from your better halfs closit . gently heat untill glue softens . when you re apply maybe use fresh adhsive.
They look very pretty in there gold hardware and a ffuture collectable I think .

congadelica, thanks bro. i wasn't positive at first if what i was buying was the real deal. funny story with these drums. my cousin called me a little bit ago and while we're talking i mentioned that i got some new congas. right away he says "milleniums?" i was puzzled how the hell he guessed that when he says " cabron i've been trying to call that guy all week! you stole my congas!" i laughed and told him primo you're too slow. he's currently mad at me still lol...

Están hermosas tus congas y el precio me parece excelente por una edición especial de colección, yo estoy pensando comprar en Mexico unas LP aspire y cuestan US$400.00, por lo que me parece que el precio es excelente por la edición de aniversario.

Felicidades!
