Charlie,

I dig it! I dig it! Very nice!

I notice that you've sanded down the original black stain of your Gon Bops CA bongos to come out with the natural color of their North American Oak wood shells. You've also probably applied a clear, natural stain on them. So, now they match the color of your natural-stained Isla Percussion congas more, right?

Also, you've replaced almost all, if not all, of the skins of your 3 pairs of bongos, including your 2 pairs of LPs.

Excellent job! Congratulations, bro! :D

HEY MANNY,
THANKS BRO. I JUST WANTED A NATURAL WOOD, OLD SCHOOL FEEL, FROM MY TOP BONGO'S. SO I STRIPPED, SANDED, AND FINE STEEL WOOLED THE SHELLS AND THEN, APPLIED FIVE FULL COATS OF DANISH OIL FOR A NATURAL HAND RUBBED LOOK. WITH NO CLEAR COATING WHAT SO EVER. NOW, TO MAINTAIN THEM, I JUST HIT THESE BABIES WITH LEMON OIL, LIKE I DO TO ALL MY DRUMS. MATCHING MY ISLAS WAS A CONSIDERATION. BUT THIS WAS ACTUALLY MORE OF A
(I WANT MY GON BOPS TO BE EXTRA SPECIAL, KIND OF THING), AND TRUST ME BRO, THEY LOOK, SOUND, AND FEEL SO MUCH RICHER NOW! :D

THANKS, AGAIN MANNY!
