burke wrote:I'd take bongos ... I know the question was which conga but most of the percussive unwashed call em bongos anyway so maybe I can get away with my cheatin bastard answer?

Besides if I'm alone on this island then its my dam island and I'll name things what I please! :D

well then the question is....

what are your dream bongos?

and I don't mean this kind, even though you'd be dreaming of them fast enough on that island.. :O

bongosnotbombs,

Since Burke has just rightfully reminded us that he has full sovereignty rights over his island kingdom and can rename "congas" as "bongos", then I too am going to exercise one of my sovereignty rights over my own island kingdom by renaming "bongos" as "boobies"!

The question is: which booby should be the "macho" and which booby should be the "hembra"!

Then again, who cares!!! With a chick this cute and sexy, it wouldn't matter, right?! As long as I get to play both! :;): ???

Don't really have experience with many types up here in the frozen north so I can't say. I guess I'd be happy with the ones I got - hey I just realised I could be talking about both B words!

Answers the same either way. :;): :;):

yes jc. sheila is my girl as well: i will never forget her playing a huge drumset while standing when touring with prince in the 80's...my dream girl!
i never got the chance to try the american "boutique" instruments but i would be happy with my cuban mahogany guanex conga.

I am happy to report that last month I have ordered my dream set of congas from Volcano Percussion. I will have them some time next month. I have been looking at these fine instruments for some time now. You only live once. Dreams sometimes do come true.

Here is what Master builder Thomas Alexander of Volcano Percussion created for me. I really love these congas!
