Unfortunately I don't have any background on these as I had these pictures sent via a friend from the U.S. that thought I may be interested in them. Would they be worth persuing?
Hi Darrell, I haven't actually seen these 'live' so I can't comment on the sound. Just a deal a friend was cookin up for me in the U.S. (I think I'll take a pass). I did however just p/u a Conga on Friday that I'll post for comments. Cheers, Randy.
I believe they are called "Zim-Gar" Mexican congas...these were similar to my first Mexican congas which were "Zim-Gar" made in Mexico...back in the 60's... Johnny Conga....
They are as Mexican as Pancho Villa and Guacamole. Maybe put new skins on them and always keep the lugs properly lubricated. When finances and time permits do an upgrade.
