RTP's that were on eBay... anyone here get them?

Postby Whopbamboom » Wed May 14, 2008 5:47 am

I was planning on bidding very, very strongly on this pair of RTP's that were on eBay, but apparently the seller yanked the auction and sold them locally to someone else before the auction had run its course. Anyone here get them?

Damn, I never even saw these.

The seller is Robert Felcher here in San Diego. A real nice guy, I have contacted him and will let you know what happened.

Robert is setting on a stash of nice drums. He won't sell unless he gets his price.(Always a researve)
I don't blame him. Wish I could see his storage area, bet it's loaded. He is very accurate in his descriptions and I would trust him.
I've exchanged E-mails with him and I would do business with him.

Thats my moto for anything anywhere for a used item, especially congas !!

Robert is fair guy and honest when it comes to drums and equipment. I've known him locally for about 15 years.

edit: oh Boper, yup he's got quite a few drums at this house. Some for rework and some complete. I did't count them, but I would say about 40 or so?

Wish he'd let the auction play out. He said he sold them for $900, but the bid that I was going to put in was more than that. I wanted a shot at those rare drums.

Anyone know the type of wood that those were made from?

And, anyone know anything else about RTP's? There wasn't any other info on the 'net that I found.

That's a sweeping statement on an entire town.
What do you base this on?

I was being vague to be kind.

My mother told me, if you cant say anything nice, dont say anything... I should have listened.

I was trying to help you.

Too vague for me. I assume that you had a bad experience with someone in San Diego. If you don't want to state it openly, then please PM me with some details on what happened so I know who to be a little more careful with.

Well being that the set is already sold, its moot at this point.
Nonetheless, I would like to hear also. Inquisitive minds want to know

I only asked because I am from San Diego. Does that make me untrustworthy?

If you have had a bad experience with an individual say so.
Then even the natives know to beware rather than taint us all with a bad brush.

Yes, all people in San Diego are bad. it must be the proximity to LA.

Sounds like San Diegans are always a step child to LA  But then that make LA bad too

Must be a Raiders / Dodgers vs Chargers / Padres vs 49ers / Giants thing
