pricing question lp classics

hello everyone. i'm putting up my classics on craigslist . i'm ready to sell and make the upgrade to Islas. I'm selling them for $650 quinto ,conga. quinto has a new steer skin. Do you guys think the price is right so to speak? thanks for any input.

I think technically speaking the price is fair but you can often get those drums and the almost identical matadors for around 150 a piece on craigslist and e-bay, I started with very nice classics with the trad rims etc that I got on e-bay for a little over 350 for a conga, tumba set. Depends how experienced the buyers are and how much they are prepared to shop around and how quick you need to move them I guess as well. Good luck.

it's $650 for the set. i've seen classics on ebay for much more than that. i also check craigslist religiously here in chicago and haven't seen them posted very often at all. chicago is weak when it comes to the music/percussion scene in my opinion. i never see any boutique congas for sale here. never seen any juniors or old gon bops even for sale. i'm hoping to catch someone who's in the market for congas and doesn't want to pay full price...

I'm in no hurry to sell them. I just want Islas. I'll continue playing what I got until the right person comes along. The steer I got from Mario has got that quinto humming nicely even for an Lp. I tune the quinto to conga and the conga to tumba right now and it works nicely. But I'm ready to join the rest of you guys with the real deal.

If anyone is interested, right now on ebay there is a nice set of Matadors ( quinto and conga ) with the stand.
Price: 450 dollars. This includes free shipping. That to me is a sweet little deal on a nice set of decent quality drums.

LP Classics are the best factory made congas IMO.
$600-650 for the set is a fair price if they are in great condition.
List them on craigslist.com for free.
You may have to wait for awhile until you run into someone that knows the value.
Someone that plays on a high level and won't settle for student or intermediate line.
I sold 3 for $900 4 months ago.

I also have a set (quinto/conga) of LP Matadors with stand for sale quinto & conga - $300.
They have some scratches but play very well! The conga has a bass that will blow you away!
