Nice, how long did it take to get to you, from the day you ordered?
what color is that?
what kind of wood? how much?

do you have other hand made congas, and if you do ,how do they differ from one another?

Hola Mr. Conga!!

gee million questions bro ? Just kidding

It took about a month after Michel finished building it. It was stuck in Customs at the Canada border for 3 weeks, due to new import reg's. Plus the the Customs broker Michel used was rather... non communicable.
The build took 1 week, since Michel had a shell ready to go. Not anymore though, he's out of shells, and will not be making more until next month. He's backordered for many items due to an onslaught of bongo and djembe orders.

The conga 11 3/4" is a cubano series in mahogany stain on maple wood. $760 plus shipping ,and money order postage.

I have a set of Isla cherries (see avatar). LP Valje's, LP classic.

How do they differ? I would need to write a book :D

Onile, if and when you get to this. I retract my opinion about the skins bro. At least the skin I got this conga is outrageous!! Its black through and through.
It pops like a motha 8)

Salsa mui caliente!!

Vaya Abure Tonio!
I hope that you are well my brother!

That drum looks incredible, and I know that the skin it came with sounds phat!

I have bought "Moperc" skins for 10 of my drums (Fats, Patatos, Gon Bops) and everyone, especially me, loves the sound of them.

I'm glad to hear that you like them!

Repica ese tambor!

Tonio,

Congrats! Gorgeous tub! Love the color!

The design and quality of Michel's craftsmanship, especially the hardware, look topnotch.

Do let us know, if and when you get the time, how your Moperc differs from your other tubs.

Thanks,

What a beauty  , Congrats on your new Perc tub and thanks for sharing that image with us, I love that perc logo stamped on the ring, talk about unique. So do you only have one drum or do you have a set? if only one, do you plan on getting more? It would be nice if you could post an image of the inside surface  . Are the Percs also signed by the maker on the inside surface?

Onile - Thanks bro ! man this drum is a monster, and not even broken in yet. Not sure if I want to use the Manteca yet. It is phat.

Manny - yes the hardware is pristine. Attention to detail is imaculate. The weld job however miniscule under the side plate loop is precision. I will withold my opinion just yet of the difference from other drums. Maybe after a month or so, I will have a better idea. So far they sound phat.

KK - thanks bro. The logo is stamped between each crown ear, talk about attention to detail 8) Unfortunately, yes I only have a Moperc conga. I knew it would be hard to get it, due to the ordering/shipping scenario based on my experience from the Moperc bongos I got last year. Yes I can post a picture of the inside when I get time. I don't think Michel would need to sign it, they speak for themselves.

Mike - yes I wil post a tunage in a few days, may not do justice since they're not broken in yet. Thanks for the best wishes !

Vinnie - thanks bro! in time I will post a clip. Have'nt seen you around too much, enjoying the Isla's?

Tunage :D http://www.soundclick.com/clavetone

Tune: Salsa en Moperc test. Just a quick ditty, still needs some other instruments.. timbales etc.

Its only a 128khz mp3 so ... don't expect too much. I 've only had it for 10 days and not broke in yet.

You can check out other tunes too, if you wish.
