Not only does Alex Wilson burn up the stage, the sound mix is where I've always thought it should be-- congas up front and personal. I'm with you JC -- where are they? The only answer I've got for you is that to put together a tight group like that takes a lot of work-- a lot of work-- and I think most musicians are into smaller groups that can gig more easily in the smaller venues.

Abakua got a gig for me down under? hahahaha...hope all is well...yea even i had to break my bands down to smaller groups..besides the fact that here in Seattle they don't take the "bizness" seriously...and they play mostly for their own egos here and not for the people.....but there are a few good latin bands here...Expression Latina, Zarabanda, Sonando, Layla Angulo, and mine....when i get a gig for the band....Johnny Conga..

Hey quinto governor II where's the video of this guy blending conga rhythms with Native American music ? That was the first time I seen a Native American playing guaguanco but I wanted to see the blending which would be interesting. Thanks

JC I agree. I think a lack of creativity and originality was the cause of the downfall of salsa, maybe I'm wrong but I myself got bored of it during the 90's when a lot of tunes sounded the same the only way to tell the difference was by the voice of the singer and maybe a horn here and there that gave away the tune.
