Call it what it is... "a commercial."
It's a disservice to this site to "pimp" a commercial by calling it a "short clip".

I think the drums look great - no doubt -but your constant insistence in calling them the finest drums is becoming boring. Especially if you yourself have not played all (every last one) of the other handmade models discussed on this site.

You have the right to your opinion and I have the right to my opinion. Did I tell you not to voice your opinion? No I did not. So don't tell me not to voice my opinion. I hope you will tell every one. Not just me. Shall we make Congaplace a commercial free site? I would be all for that. Did you tell everyone here that advertises almost everyday that it is getting boring? And for your information I have played and or owned just about every conga drum being made today. Not all but just about. If you don't like my post don' t respond to my post. You don't have to read it. You don't have to watch the u-tube video. I think a lot of posts are boring and I try to ignore them. Put me on your ignore list. But don't try to tell me not to say what I have been saying. Yes I dig Volcano Congas and yes I believe them to be the best built and best sounding. They may not be for you. They may not be for everyone but others may believe it is just what they have been looking for. I have stated MY opinion. And again don't tell me not to voice my opinion. Dude, thats got to be a first, a bona fide commercial on t.v. for a conga manufacturer.
I used to live in Hawaii, that commercial is so homegrown.
I be it was aired during "'Hey, You Da Kine?!"

Used to see those drums all the time in Kaimuki, at Harry's.

Volcanos are very pretty congas. I find them absolutely gorgeous.
Best built... I would disagree however...

The clip is welcome, be it a commercial, jam, performance, movie, documentary etc. All good.

Mike you are passionate about your drums, not everyone feels the same, just agree to disagree. Thats why we have variety in tastes.

HOWEVER, I MUCH RESPECT FOR THE WAY MATTHEW SMITH MAKES HIS DRUMS. THEY SOUND AS GORGEOUS AS THEY LOOK; WITH NO UNWANTED OVERTONES!

I SPOKE WITH TOM ALEXANDER OF VOLCANO ABOUT TWO MONTH'S AGO. BECAUSE, I WAS THINKING ABOUT ORDERING A PAIR OF HIS BONGO'S FOR MY COLLECTION. BUT I QUICKLY BECAME DISAPPOINTED, BECAUSE, WHEN I MENTIONED DURING OUR CONVERSATION, THAT I WAS ALSO WAITING FOR MY MATTHEW SMITH'S TO ARRIVE. HIS RESPONSE WAS: "OH THESE, ARE ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL THAN MATTHEW SMITH'S. THEN HE CONTINUED ABOUT THE STAINLESS STEEL HARDWARE THING. YES, TOM DOES EXECELLENT WORK. BUT, MATTHEW WILL TELL YOU THE SKY'S THE LIMIT! YOU CHOOSE THE DESIGN, THE WOOD, THE SIZE, THE FINISH, AND THE HARDWARE. THAT MY FRIENDS, IS WHAT TRUE CUSTOM IS ALL ABOUT, HE'S MY #1 ARTISAN.
