PM Percussion, please comment

Has anyone here ever used or heard of PM Percussion hand made congas? They look awesome.

First I've ever heard of them, just right up the road in Petaluma too, looks
like I'll have to check them out sometime.

Kind of reminds me a bit of the Volcano approach to congas.

Never heard of pepperwood before.

BNB ,its your duty to check them out and report back , I like them very much . like JC says similar curves to the valjes . Agreed on the ones with gold earings too much bling cheapens the old skool look for me they are very cuban looking .

Yeah I have a factory project up in Petaluma so I have to go there every now and then..

I also thought they looked a little like Valje, but these PM congas are a little more rounded,
Valjes are a bit more angular.

I like the lug plates, but the lug hangers on the rim seem a little to big, a little clumsy.
Seem like good drums though, I'm wondering about the price.

As far as the gold, well, the customer is always right...llit's just that I didn't know Liberace played congas.

I just received a response from P.M. percussion to a price request for his drums:
"Hello Juan, Congratulations on choosing a wonderful hand made product over the mass produced stuff sold by the large companies made over seas out of who knows what.
Drum making is an art . The sound, feel, playability and joinery are paramount and if you can make it beautiful that's an added bonus.
I currently have one requinto and I believe it's priced around $700. It's in a store so I would need to check but I think that's it.
As for pricing on other drums I have four sets available and they are selling for around $800 per drum. I know it seems high but compared to top of the line factory drums the price is quite reasonable.

Pepperwood is most likely from the pepper tree. The pepper tree (at least the ones with red peppercorns) is very common in SoCal. It has an interesting smell!
