Your project turned out great. Enjoy your drums. I remember years ago Latin Percussion had a product called Head Oil. It was really nice to put it on your heads and did enhance the sound. It also smelled very bad but just for a short time. I do not know what kind of oil it was but I would love to get some. Does anyone remember it?

I can remember that was years ago with the head oil. Don´t know what it is or was, but I prefer natural oil, i.e. food oil over anything else. El Greco´s method really does wonders! My oiled Greek mule skins sound awesome without being sticky or something. That is why I would advise everyone to grant a dried out skin a Greek oil cure!

I found a photo in a old catalog. I think it was some kind of animal oil. It did stink.
