Now THAT is some hilarious material, thanks very much for posting,
I have just taken a look at the first ten minutes including the interview
with Tito Puente - heartwarming, funny and brilliantly played music.
Those days must have been the real thing..

Footnote: The only thing that put me off a bit was the trap drummer with
his too dominant snare drum in the Puente tunes.

Excellent. I play for poetry like this all the time. But this is where it started.

Wow. How cool and synchronous is that. I and our fusion rhythm section (The Big Unkle Hit Squad) just finished backing up SpokenWord Artist, Sergio, and others at The Reef Lounge in Philly, where they hold an open-mic poetry night every month. What a blast we had. It was a first for us, but not our last.

I just viewed the first 30 minutes of the vid and found it very entertaining. I even thought I saw a young and handsome Johnny Conga sighting in the Fania segment of the vid where they showed Congueros playing in the urban structure. It appeared that you were playing a red colored Ecotone Conga. Was my eyes playing tricks on me?

ok i saw it and NO it's not Frankie either...that was shot on the 'loisida'(lower east side) around Ave.B..and they are the locals from that area just jammin, as it used to be all over the city back then...I at this time had just came out the military in 71 and was jammin mostly in the Bronx and Central Park..."JC" Johnny Conga

I have an interview with Armando in the newspaper. He was an orphan and he saws he doesn't know for sure
how old he really is, however he celebrated his "85th birthday" in May of 2009.
