I think I'm done with bongos for now. LP Vales', Moperc Salsa club, and SOS. I do have LP Gen II for kick arounds.

The black widower bongos are nice too, but I like a traditional look . The SOS bongos are ready to go, I can't imagine what it will sound like broken in as they sound perfect now.

SOS bongos sound great. Nice and light, comfy in the sitting position too boot.

I will have a chat w/ Jay about those walnut bongos of yours. Lets see if I can get him to work on a walnut quinto he he he.

So many variables. Hard to know for sure but I have LP PP Bongos in oak, mahogany, and 2 walnut. But they all have different skins. I play the mahogany the most - but that is because it is, and always has been, my main ax. The oak doesn't get much play. But when anyone comes around who understands bongos I always show them the walnut. Something very special, and beautiful, about that wood. Go for it!!

Jay sends out the hardware for chroming, which is quite the process. I suppose the vendor needs to do them in batches.

I remember Jay saying when I ordered to send the desposit soon since it was close to chroming time. So there must be a minimum amount of product for the vendor to do a batch.

Now the wait time-which is always hard
