jUANCHO IT SO HAPPENS THAT I GOT THEM. THE OWNER CAME IN PERSON TODAY AND BOUGHT TO MIAMI . THE ONLY REASON I GOT THEM WAS THE PRICE AND ALSO THE LAST PAIR LIKE THESE THAT I HAD I SOLD TO MY GOOD FRIEND DARIO FROM THIS FORUM . ANY CHANCE YOU WANT TO TRADE FOR ONE OF YOURS. THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH THESE JUST THAT I PREFER THE OTHER STYLE WITH THE LINES ON THE SIDE INSTEAD OF THE GROOVE.LET ME KNOW IN P.M. IF YOU DECIDE. MARIO

Already on ebay for $450, what a jump from the original $200. One thing I notice is that the hembra skin even though has the JCR logo stamped is too thin..

Caballoballo didn't say anything wrong or bad. He is simply telling us that they are for sale on ebay marked up over 100% and the skin looks too thin to his experienced eye. You should thank him for bringing more attention to your ebay auction.

I seem to remember Isaac selling these about 2 years ago at around $350-$375 brand new. Good luck with your auction.

BnB, Psych1, I second what you say, you have only been typing faster than me :)
This is a free and open-minded forum.
The price for this beautiful bongó at ebay might be high, but we have seen higher prices there

For those of you who don't know. Chiringo, the person selling the bongos, is a very seasoned and experienced percussionist.
He was a founding member of the Willie Colon band back in the late 60's. He was responsible for bringing Hector Lavoe into the band and was a mentor to the likes of Nicky Marrero, Chucky Lopez, Pablito Rosario and the list goes on.
Most people in this forum could not even tune his bongos. So its best to keep opinions to one's self. What's wrong with trying to make a buck? Those are beautiful vintage JCR's that don't come around anymore, they even have the original JCR skins on them. My 2 cents.

Bro, why do you get mad because I look at your Bongó ? If the skin is thin, then it is. I can do nothing to change that. Did I said anything not true or wrong about your Bongó ?

chiringo,

I agree with caballoballo, bongosnotbombs and Mike. It's an open forum and a free country.

With all due respect to you and others who share your opinion, if you don't want people to say negative about something (as long as it's true or based on one's best opinion and not malicious,) then don't post or show it in a public forum, such as congaboard, or a public venue, such as Craigslist.
