Hola Rumberos, last night I have the pleasure of sitting and play Bongó with this very young band of very young talented players. Their age range from 20 to about 25 years old. I was the granpa with almost 52 years . What a sound and afinque on stage. I wish my pirvate photographer ( my wife) would have been there to recorded. Here in P.R there is a new breed of very talented ,well educated young musicians keeping the salsa music flame alive and kicking . Most of the tunnes they play are from the 70s so I was deep inside my territory playing music I learned while in high school. Since I work in that club I asked their musical director to let me seat and play with them, he said ok bring your Bongó . We were jamming on that stage. Next time I go there again to do my Dj part I know there won't be a need to ask. Also next time I will have my private photographer with me so pictures will be post.
