Isla Tumba, Conga and Requinto For Sale

Postby sonorlite » Thu May 27, 2010 10:39 pm

Finally got my requinto so I am re-posting the full set for sale. They all are canoe wood, the conga and tumba were made in November 2009 and the requinto was just shipped to me today. Requinto pictured at the top, conga and tumba below. Stands not included.

Would prefer local pickup in Porland, OR but will ship. Asking $1,300 plus shipping.

glad to hear it made it! I guess that means the new mahogany and zircote drums should be coming in soon.

sonorlite I am glad that you finally got your drum but then again I knew that Mario would come thru. it's too bad that you are getting rid of them. If I had the money I would take them out of your hand, trade for a requena? just joking  anyways good luck in finding a buyer, Im sure whoever gets them will be a happy camper.

Sonor, please post in the Isla thread that you have received your drum, just to keep the record upto date.

In your position I would put the drums to one side and go back to them when my frustrations had subsided. I would not sell.
Having said that, there are lots of nice drums out there...

Good luck Sonor.

Those drums are so beautiful that it hurts looking at them!
It must hurt even more when one is forced to sell them.
Peace & drum

Still for sale.

Asking $1,200 plus shipping. I prefer local pickup but will ship only by taking these to a store to have them boxed and shipped.

Canoe wood is another name for American Poplar hard wood.

Thanks Congadelica. I cannot identify it on the wood density chart though, maybe it has another name. Curiosity kills me.
