If you like fiberglass the New Jersey LPS are some of the best, they sound really good with good skins, I'm assuming 500 CD is about 450 US, I'd try to get them for 300-350, especially since they'll both need new heads about 100-120 investment for good skins unless you buy a side and do them yourself. Mind you, the crown on the tumba is at a criminal angle, bent or pulled down irregularly over the years. You definitely should insist on a reduction of the price if you want to buy them.

I have found the Vintage LP fiberglass congas to be wonderful and very light. They will last just about forever. They sound best with nice thick steer heads but the plastic is on for convenience. Enjoy the photo.
The drums are in mint condition. The flash of the camera has made the sparkle look this way. On stage lights do the same. I am very fortunate to own this rare set. I have owned them and taken care of them for years. I have always de-tuned them. They sound great. I have played countless gigs with them but you would never know it. They are a gift from my Wife Phyllis. They are very light weight and have saved my back. They have stood the test of time.
