I don't know about fragile, well, certainly not as strong as LP's ply methods, that has to be the strongest, or fiberglass. I rehearse on a set of provided Patatos, and those are just so flat compared these drums.

Resolutions are made exactly the same as Valjes were and I have a Valje that is 40 years old and still going strong.
