Very nice. It's all the player. Gimme a good player on bad drums over a decent player on great drums any day.

A great player, with beautiful feel. Reminds me a little of Anga.
Which goes to show it's mostly about the player - good drums are just the icing on the cake.

I don't think those drums sound all that hot, the player has excellent chops, but the sound is so bad either from the drums or mic, I couldn't watch all of it. Think how much better that guy would sound with a better mic and better drums. The only decent tone he's getting from those drums is the closed slap which is not hard even on the thin inferior skins those type of drums come with. Tomasito is getting a much cleaner sound here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rEAIfZrQGY

Here is a woman having fun with Aspires. The Timbal player is sometimes doing to much I think.

You're not the least impressed with the sound produced from these beginner drums? Yes I agree with you that the audio quality, and even video could be better, But the purpose of posting this video was to prove that it's the player skill not the equipment that he/ she has on hand that makes the difference.

Here's a video of the same guy playing wooden boxes (Cajons) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP2VSVwr ... re=related

The guy has great skill, but he would sound so much better on a set of Skin on Skins. For me it is the skill AND the equipment, both are important. I play a set like those all the time, everyone else thinks I sound fine, but I'm always happy to come back to my own drums.

"Rule your stage with LP Aspires"

This advertising is typical of the "whore" that LP has become.
Gio already has his own line, why would they use him to pimp Aspires?
They can do what they want it's their $$, & obviously Gio is willing.

Show some teenagers in the basement playing Aspires instead of Gio pretending these drums are worth anything.

It seems to me that LP sells way more Aspires than Matador or LP professional lines.
So it makes sense to have your top (2) cats Santana and Giovanni behind the line.
Santana used to have signature drums on the professional line but not no more
now you have Santana Aspires. That owe to tell you something. No doubt LP is
the leader.
