The energy picks up about at about 11 min for Ogun, and the only two Africans in the crowd couldn't resist dancing. That's the biggest compliment to our music we ever got. It was huge fun!

All the players in the band are monsters in their own right. Here Pedrito throws Jhair a conga solo, it is easier to hear and follow than his bongo solo on the other video. Check out Pedrito's Cuban Bomba at 5:25. Alvaro Benavides on bass is great too. On piano, check out Axel Tosca Laugart, his montunos are unique and his solos are killer. Here is an example:

Guantanamera is on 8th between 55 and 56 in NYC. Pedrito's band is the house band, they are there 7 days a week starting at 8:30, unless they have another gig (call same day to make sure they are playing). Nice ambiente, great food, unbelievable music.

Definitely will check out Pedrito's band at Guantanamera and while am around there there's also Habana Central to check out Grupo Latin Vibe. Love to check out all these places that play live.......tks George

In my book, Mongo has to rank as the most accomplished best tumbador in history. There were/are some great ones, no doubt, but as far as "sabor" y "afinque gordo", consistantcy and longivity, Mongo is at the top of the hill and the rest follow. Mongo was my second father.
