Saludos Bongoceros, This Bongó was made by Master Artisan Papo Del Valle, Specs are as follow

PuertoRican Mahogany 5/8" thick
Stainless Steel Hardware & Red Mahogany Stain
7" Macho & 8 3/4" Hembra
Cilindrical & 6.5" height
Cow Skins

This is an example of an instrument made by a very experience Artisan And Musician.

Sound is old school from the Hembra, Sweet, deep and mellow. Macho skin still a little damp so sound test have to wait.

Saludos, ok :D thus far I have played with my new toy twice. Wow ! good mellow deep tone off the hembra and a high crispy sound of the Macho which I could have cranked higher. Very Light 10.5 pounds and very comfortable between the legs. Next is to test it into a full band to hear how good is the volume and projection. More to follow.

B0ng0, $385, comes ready to play, could be made to your specs. It is a well made Bongó and built by a musician so he knows how the sound should be.

Alex, you have to order in advance. His number is 787-752-9083. I am going this time to the dia nacional. Last year due to a focking military exercise I miss it but not this time. Shoot me an e-mail so we can meet in the party. Let me know where are you going to stay that way you be able to see the Bongó before you buy.

How much does this bongo weigh? I threw my solid shells on the bathroom digital scale and it said 24.8 pounds lol! I knew it was a tank but damn. Caballo, se acerca tu dia, in my best zeta93 voice. So excited! Then deep sea fishing the next day! Better not drink too much on Sunday

Caballo,
In a comparison test, which set between the Timbas del Valle or the Salsa Club Series Mopercs that you own would give you the best or loudest projection? In addition are the Timbas del Valle a solid shelled set? Thank you in advance for you reply. Jorge.
