In re-reading your evaluation of these drums you also mentioned

"Save your $$$ and get these utilitarian good looking & good sounding drums !"

Did you play these at NAMM or at another venue or did you mean to imply that because of the design and such that they will sound good? If you have played them, how do they sound? Your posts indicate many years of experience playing the great congas of our time.

thx for posting that vid link. Those sound really nice and mellow in that vid. I have been making phone calls and sending e-mails like a mad man to all the closest stores to me, trying to see who is gonna get a set at their store. I'm almost sold on them without playing them. I ordered the Patato series LP's I have without playing them first, and that turned out well......... But, of course, ideally I want to play them if possible. I just can't afford to fly somewhere to play them. I can't really even afford new drums, I'm looking for things to sell :wink:

here in Little Rock, Arkansas all we have is Guitar Center, so if they don't sell them i will never see them here..you might have to special order them..
