This is the mount for the 2 screws that Gon Bops used.

Thanks Dario
Do you have a large file photo. I can't see exactly what the mount looks like on your photo.
If you don't want to post it hear you can email me the large photo.

A closeup shot would be great if you can do it.

In the mean time I'll keep looking around for the mount.

This is what the drum looks like today after I sanded and cleaned it with paint remover. I was able to sand the hoop lines out - I may do some more. I think I will leave it this colour - nice effect. I'll clear coat it for protection I think.

I would recommend NOT using the GB stand! They're really shaky! You might consider just leaving the mounting brackets off, and maybe use a little wood filler on the holes.

I agree with Windhorse. It is very easy to damage the shells with the conga stand made by Gon Bops. Also the stand does not adjust well for a level playing surface.

The Gon Bops stand may be terrible but I need one anyway - for a set of the small Jr. 3000 series Congitos (or whatever you call them). They have the same mounts as the congas so I assume a reqular GB conga stand would work. If anyone has one for sale/trade please PM.
