The look of the whole ensemble is fantastic, sturdy and functional,
at the same time aesthetically very pleasing.

And I am sure that conga will sound awesome.

Just a question: Why did you use black bolts?

And another side question: Galou, do you happen to know since when
Michel Delaporte employed black sideplates with his conga series?

Thanks all !!!!

MIKE : Black bolts because Chrome or galvanisation is not nice compare to black with this plates and this wood.

About Delaporte black plates, do you mean the square plate with 4 points ? I think it's the first he used, before 1990. After, He used 3 points "aluminium" plates.

Inside plates, pretty heavy and cover at least 2 staves.

Wow. That is trully a beautiful set of Congas. You did a fenomenal job from start to finish for sure. I have no doubt that they will sound as good as they look.
Thank you so much congalou for sharing your wonderful experience with us conga junkies

I think, and I believe that I speak for many of us, that you should create a brand name for your conga set, what do you think?
Any Ideas?
