Like a lot of good things - they are worth more than you could sell them for - better to keep them.

It's true, I have a LP performers series 3peice set. Which is a step up from aspire but below matador. I could sell them and get less what I paid for and put that money forwards some Mopercs.. but they are my first set, I put lp comfort curve 2 gold rims with remo puerto tocan flag skyndeep heads. I have lots of memories with those plus my dad got them for me as a BD present so they have sentimental value. I WILL still save up for some Mopercs but NEVER get rid of those congas or my matador brushed nickel timbales!

Agreed. I find the older CPs with the traditional hardware to be a close runner up to the LP Classics. I believe the CPs were modified with cheaper hardware due to this.

Only an opinion though. I would keep em as well.

Keep the CP's, always good to have a "play in the park" set. CP's are a great drum, but they don't fetch a high price, $150 per drum max., usually closer to $100.

I agree with BnB. You will want a set that you can bring out to play and not worry about so much.

Did you end up buying the set?
