Meinl Pro Bass Tones

I've been off work for a few weeks and have been away from my drums for a few years. Yesterday, I set up my quinto and conga and started relearning what I've forgotten. Was practicing a Guaguanco that has a bass tone. Even with the original heads, the bass tone just rang out so deep and clear I couldn't believe it. It was beautiful. Maybe sitting all that time had an effect on the drums as a whole. Anyway, they sound so much better than I remember them sounding, I think I will keep them instead of selling/trading for a set of LPs. Thanks
