Got a set a matador's help me pick a nice head

Postby salsero » Tue Apr 10, 2012 2:06 am

Made a decision and purchased a set of matadors. I like the. But they don't have the sound I hear from others. Now I am sure a lot of that is me but would like a good set of heads to make sure I start off on the right foot. I see remo has a few but can't really see what the diff would be. As always thank you

what do you guys think of these at the bottom? they are pre mounted calf skin. My next question would be what thickness would be best for salsa and bachata use?

Manito is a member of this forum and a good guy to deal with. You can't go wrong working with him.

But, there are a zillion opinions posted here on bongo skins - search around.

Lots of pros are using synthetic skins and they sound good.

I've just started using a horse hide on the macho and it sounds great to me.

Hembra. I will take a couple of pics and let you guys know how it sounds
