Team...

Probably one of my favorite screensaver slideshow files
is of the often ignored conga in art. I envy the skills and
talents of the creative ones that can paint... here is a
sampling of some of my many favorites.... man, I wish
I knew how to paint....

Someday, I'll line my music room walls with art of this
caliber.... big fan....

(next time I think I'll post some great album covers.... you
can probably guess the theme).

Apologies.... Of course I recognized Anga,... but am unaware
of any business relationship the estate may have with Starbucks.

Well, the art didn't go over so well....
so moving on... album covers ! Most of
the time it seems the label used cheesy
"cosmetic jewelry" drums... but every once
in a while you see a nice vintage collectible
conga.

I miss album covers and liner notes.

The women´s role on older Latin music record covers is more often
reduced to a questionable coolness, if this is cool at all - sorry: :roll:

How crazy the photographer must have been who told the girl to hold her hands like that...

Yep Mike...I agree...I've had to use my PG13
sensibilities on much of the "Latin Music" album
covers released in Japan and some of Europe as
the labels there seem to favor exposed tatas....

Here are my James Dean pics..I actually own the 45 record of his recording done right there at a friends house in Texas and they recorded to a 'reel to reel' tape(to his left)....with one microphone for flute and conga..but he wasn't very good on the drum...while he was in NYC(acting school) in the 50's, he also hung and jammed around Manhattan in different drum circles then..
