godskin wrote:Hi there, I thought I would share with you the meinl conga’s that I have.
They are all in their older years and maybe all build in Germany.
I have found them on the net and they are all second hand.
First there is this Requinto (10”) from the “live sound” series (West Germany).
I got it with a stand and a army duffelbag for € 70 that’s about $ 90.
This requinto has no cracks that I could find and the rim is in perfekt condition.
But when I did a closer inspection on the inside I found a kind of crack on one of the staves.
It seems it might only be on the surface and there is absolutely no damage on the outside.
Does anyone have any ideas how this could have happened ?
I have not played it much but I find it is a bit ringy, besdies that its quite fine.
There a skin I got from brazil, its a "boi" skin, thats ox its about 2 mm and later I will reskin it with that.
Has anyone here ever had a live sound requinto ?
Opinions & comments are welcome.
