Hey All, just wanted to share with you that a group i play with recently updated their site to include myself and another percussionist to their ensemble. There are MP3's on the site as well which include some live recordings of a recent show in December. The recording came out okay, I certainly have a lot to learn, but hope you enjoy anyway...

Ivam, nice site.Allthough the link bck from mp3's do not take you back, you have to start all over to hear another tune.

I suppose you are a new member of the group? Overall the band seems to needs a direction. I didn't listen to all the tunes though.

Does it feel like you are fighting with the kit drummer? He needs to chill, and give you some space.

That's interesting that you bring that up about the kit drummer... He knows playing loud is one of his faults, and during rehearsals he gets it, but when we're live - his passion takes over... I am not sure what tune you listened to, but I know that some of the sense of "struggle" could have been my fault...

The things I know the group needs is another lead instrument. Guitar is the only instrument that leads the group right now, I think if we had a vocalist and some type of horn we would be cool. I do acknowledge that we are all young and time will make us better. :D

Thanks for your feedback and for checking out the site.

JC try here

Ivan, I didn't mean you struggling. You brought up that the drummer is loud. Its understandable, but most drummers are like that unless you approach them in a way they understand that you are there too. Good drummer will take that in a professional manner and consider his role. He seems a metal
head, so it may be hard. IMO these are only my observations on th tunes that I heard. Its more about allowing other members(especially in the rythmn section) to have their own space. Most drummers do a fill every 4th bar. Its cool if he's in a metal band w/ no percussionist ya know?
Something to think about. How you approach him may be good or bad, so take that into consideration.

Tonio,
Oh, I see... Regardless, I appreciate your feedback and you're right about how I word what I want...

I'll just tell him to ease up on the fill ins cause that's what us percussionist are there for.

Thanks again, bro.
